Born in Williston, SC - Mark and Mike Carson, co-owners, spent a lot of their childhood in St. Matthews since their parents were born and raised here. When the chance to move back to their "roots" and start a business came about – the two brothers did not hesitate. So on July 1, 1987, Carson's Farm and Garden opened their doors at the old Banks Fertilizer and Ice House on Huff Drive. The business quickly outgrew that location and in December 1994 the brothers moved their business to the current location on Colonel Thomson Hwy (601 North). Also on the current property is 601 Self Storage Rental Facility . The latest addition to the business opened in 2011 a bulk mulch, rock, sand and topsoil yard.

Mark lives in St. Matthews with his wife, Tammy, and their son, Adam. Mike and his 2 sons, Brett and Brad, live in Williston. Together the brothers continue to work hard to make Carson's Farm and Garden a successful business for their families and community.
